About Whisky16

Welcome to the fun world of the Whisky16!

Now in tough 3-layer polyethylene Whisky16 Rocker and Whisky16 Tourer

The Whisky 16 Story

The Whisky16 is an outstanding rough water sea kayak by Nigel Foster of Point65, maneuverable and stable, quick on a wave and easily controlled! The spelling "Whisky16" comes from the Scottish spelling. (The Irish spelling would be "Whiskey16".)

Nigel Foster spent many summers roaming the Scottish Islands by sea kayak
Playing in the tidal rapids
Surfing the beaches close to whisky distilleries.

Places like the Gulf of Corryvreckan with it's famed tidal rapids and legendary whirlpool
The Race of the Gray Dogs where wind and tide whisk the sea into conditions appropriate for the Whisky16 kayak!

Initially in composite, but now roto-molded in tough 3-layer (3L) polyethylene in 2 models.
